Concussion Assessment: an essential guide for OTs

When someone gets a concussion, they deserve the best care possible.  This course has been designed specifically for OTs to make it easy to perform a comprehensive assessment after concussion injury, and better understand the relevant impairments and functional issues..

Occupational Therapists need specialized knowledge in concussion to best help this population. 

Until now there has been a lack of high quality, OT-specific training for concussion management. 

This course will update you on current best practice, give you details on all the necessary components of assessment and provide you with the tools you need to do great work.


What will I learn?

You will learn how to assess all the important domains for concussion assessment in depth:

  • Vestibular

  • Visual

  • Cognitive

  • Psychological

  • Functional

Each module contains a review of relevant background concepts, literature, assessment tools and considerations needed to make a good assessment.


What's the commitment?

The course is delivered in 7 primary modules spanning 10 hours of direct material.

Participation weekly is encouraged but is not mandatory for enrolment. Learners will keep access to all course materials once the course is complete.
